Bio: 'The Sheriff' as he is affectionately called at home is a rescue BC/Mix that came from Glen Highland Farm in New York. He joined the family in July of 2004 and started his flyball training soon thereafter. Prior to joining the family Dell was tied out alone several hours a day on a short run. His owner had passed away and her brother tried to do the right thing taking him in, not realizing that BC's have excessive energy to expend! Dell turned to self mutilation and was eventually turned over to rescue to be rehomed. That's when he found his forever home with us. Dell has come a long way. He has lost 20lbs and he has become a great dog to train green dogs with as well as green handlers. He will run for anyone with a tug toy in their hands and is a real happy-go-lucky dog that just wants to be part of the game!  Due to a recent diagnosis of mild arthritis Dell has been retired.  On occasion we let him run part time on a Vet's team but the majority of his time is spent patrolling the yard as 'The Sheriff' is never off duty! Should anyone get out of line you are sure to know it when he sounds the alarm (ear-peircing barking). As long as 'The sheriff' is on duty there will be order in the pack!

Dell was retired from flyball in March of 2008 due to arthritis in his front leg and will spend the remainder of his days hanging out and 'patroling' the neighborhood.  While never a very fast dog, Dell was a great dog for beginners to learn on and helped train a few green handlers in this day.  He'll be missed in the lanes.
